You can either "deactivate" your Facebook account or delete it. I deleted it mine, but they make it hard to find the delete button. It takes 14 days to do so, but once you have "deleted" it, you are no longer on their system… says their verbage on their website.
I also asked Amazon last year to deactivate my account, because I did not like that they had stored my purchase history since 2002. I was told they would do so, but for accounting reasons they would not be able to delete the information on my purchases completely. Earlier this year I registered there again to make another purchase and since then I have received recommendations based on purchases that I made before 2010, when I asked for my account to be deleted. So clearly my new registration has been linked back with my old account!

Kindle has killed even chain bookshops. In the future Amazon might turn into the only source where you can get books, apart from libraries. It will make it more difficult for you to publish your books and have them distributed as an author, if Amazon decides that it does not want to stock your books. It already is difficult for producers to have their products stocked in other chain shops if they do not one of the global companies with the big money to buy shelf space and lawyers. Wikipedia is far from a correct source of information. Many publishing houses are just part of larger publishing houses and in most industries what looks diverse is not so at all.

The attendees from here seem to work mostly in the oil and gas industries as well as in media. There are not very many attendees though, the agenda isn't being pushed very heavily here but there is increasing amounts of propaganda. Its odd seeing people swallow everything that is thrown at them.

I'm surprised to see members from turkey are in attendance. For as hard as Turkey fights to become apart of the EU, it is puzzling to me that they'd even get a seat. Do you remember the tv series of the single mother and her daughter and the wealthy grand parents, where the girl ends up at Yale? The other day I watched an interview with a guy from California who apparently is a billionaire and well younger than me, who founded his first business when he was around 20 and had founded and sold several business for several digit million dollars since. He spoke about founding and selling companies and negotiating deals as if it was the easiest and most normal thing to do.
