So many esoteric opinions! One has mentioned how evil the Talmud is and I agree, maybe more so than the Cabala.
The Zionist state of Israel is evil! The small percentage of true Torah students and all other religions are in much danger there!
As for the Wizard of OZ, I read the Islamic Mother of all Books and in it was mentioned the Emerald City and the one behind the curtain! There is much more to the story written by Baum than meets the eye. Many levels maybe to hide the truth. Theosophy and the other religions mentioned are very Gnostic in their doctrines. To me as a small child this story in movie form was just a fantasy and never really had affect in a deep way. It seemed almost meaningless to me. However it has affected American society and the world over the years.You cannot touch my sealed Spirit that has been conceived and awakened by Father's Holy Spirit! I feel so bad for the destruction of the actors like Norma Jean and Judy Garland with so many others like them. Many of the male actors also are just slaves to the system in Hollyweird! I love acting but I know it is slippery ground. Many good films and stories have been enacted by really great actors.Money is so paramount to the rulers in Hollywood and ruthlessness abounds. To many other strange sins are there and not enough room and time to mention them all.Keep your eyes on Messiah Jesus/Yashua, walk that pathway to Father and total life and truth…….

Is illumination a bad thing? I've considered it bad if it's what the Illuminati want and what the initiates desire. But isn't illumination enlightenment? Enlightenment is good. There's also transformation, which is becoming a psychic vampire, by taking the oath, but that's something different. Then there's the Great Work, which s merging your lower self with your higher self, is this the illumination? Is illumination brought by understanding Lucifer and evil though? Or is it by understanding and knowing good and evil? What about neutral?

So illumination, and allllllllll of this talk about it, when we die we know all anyway. Why do the occult orders even bother? So is knowing, being enlightened or illuminated death with retaining a body? Is that the point? Because everything else becomes too vague after that.

I'm a bit confused only by understanding the Illuminati fully. We all know they worship Lucifer, the higher ups, or do they want to expose the life illusion and to surpass Lucifer and god and become their own thing, well, they'd would say to become gods. It sounds like delusions of grandeur.

So, my simple question I made confusing, is illumination – when you make it out to be clear – a good or bad thing?

I just watched the recently released Oz the Great and Powerful in the movie theater which got me thinking about the original Wizard of Oz in which I always thought there was religious symbolism. Oh how Google can be so handy directing me to your post.

Whether Baum intended it or not I think your argument is very well supported (up until the Monarch mind control stuff which comes out of left field.) Further, I think your analysis is the most concrete out there – even more so than the dominant "political satire" reading of it.

I'm one who thinks that artists don't often know the subtext that can eventually be derived from their work. I think the subconscious creeps into the work and can later be revealed. Of course at times it is and can be intentional. Who knows in this case? Either way it's a cogent interpretation.

Sounds like it's more of a political issue to you than an understanding of what Christianity actually is, since what you said about the Holy Spirit didn't make sense and even a literal interpretation of the Bible wouldn't make God a right-winger.

What's the problem with BedTime Stories? It's been a while since i've seen it, but from what I remember it's just about kids controling the bedtime stories they're told by their dad. One of the scenes i remember from the movie that i thought was hilarious was when the dad said "Once upon a time…" (He motions for his son to continue and he finishes with…"It started raining gumballs!") And gumballs start falling from the sky! I don't find ANYTHING evil or occult about BedTime Stories! Why don;t you people take a leaf out of my book and just watch movies for the sake of ENTERTAINMENT for once and stop LOOKING for somehting in it to critisize and add to the list of occult movies and books? Like i said in a different post, 'If you LOOK for evil in everything you'll FIND evil in EVERYTHING!
