It was mentioned in several articles that child stars who are introduced to the “Hollywood System” often go through all kinds of trauma and abuse. This disturbing news article basically confirms that cases of child abuse do not just happen, they are widespread in Hollywood and may be considered a “hideous epidemic”. Recent Charges of Sexual Abuse of Children in Hollywood Just Tip of Iceberg, Experts Say

If a spate of recent allegations proves true, Hollywood may have a hideous epidemic on its hands. The past two weeks have brought three separate reports of alleged child sexual abuse in the entertainment industry.
Martin Weiss, a 47-year-old Hollywood manager who represented child actors, was charged in Los Angeles on Dec. 1 with sexually abusing a former client. His accuser, who was under 12 years old during the time of the alleged abuse, reported to authorities that Weiss told him “what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry.” Weiss has pleaded not guilty.
On Nov. 21, Fernando Rivas, 59, an award-winning composer for “Sesame Street,” was arraigned on charges of coercing a child “to engage in sexually explicit conduct” in South Carolina. The Juilliard-trained composer was also charged with production and distribution of child pornography.
Registered sex offender Jason James Murphy, 35, worked as a casting agent in Hollywood for years before his past kidnapping and sexual abuse of a boy was revealed by the Los Angeles Times on Nov. 17. Murphy’s credits include placing young actors in kid-friendly fare like “Bad News Bears,” “The School of Rock,” “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” and the forthcoming “Three Stooges.”
Revelations of this sort come as no surprise to former child star Corey Feldman.
Feldman, 40, himself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, unflinchingly warned of the world of pedophiles who are drawn to the entertainment industry last August. “I can tell you that the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia,” Feldman told ABC’s Nightline. “That’s the biggest problem for children in this industry… It’s the big secret.”
Another child star from an earlier era agrees that Hollywood has long had a problem with pedophilia. “When I watched that interview, a whole series of names and faces from my history went zooming through my head,” Paul Peterson, 66, star of The Donna Reed Show, a sitcom popular in the 1950s and 60s, and president of A Minor Consideration, tells FOXNews.com. “Some of these people, who I know very well, are still in the game.”
“This has been going on for a very long time,” concurs former “Little House on the Prairie” star Alison Arngrim. “It was the gossip back in the ‘80s. People said, ‘Oh yeah, the Coreys, everyone’s had them.’ People talked about it like it was not a big deal.”
Arngrim, 49, was referring to Feldman and his co-star in “The Lost Boys,” Corey Haim, who died in March 2010 after years of drug abuse.
“I literally heard that they were ‘passed around,’” Arngrim said. “The word was that they were given drugs and being used for sex. It was awful – these were kids, they weren’t 18 yet. There were all sorts of stories about everyone from their, quote, ‘set guardians’ on down that these two had been sexually abused and were totally being corrupted in every possible way.”
In fact it is the very nature of a TV or movie set that invites predators, experts tell Fox News.
“A set in Hollywood with children can become a place that attracts pedophiles because the children there may be vulnerable and less tended to,” explains Beverly Hills-based psychotherapist Dr. Jenn Berman. “One thing we know about actors, psychologically speaking, is that they’re people who like a lot of attention. Kids naturally like a lot of attention, and when you put a kid on a set who is unsupervised and getting attention from someone who is powerful, it creates a vulnerability for a very dangerous situation.”
Feldman, who claims he was “surrounded” by pedophiles when he was 14, says the sexual abuse by an unnamed “Hollywood mogul” led to the death of his friend Haim at the age of 38. “That person needs to be exposed, but, unfortunately, I can’t be the one to do it,” Feldman told Nightline.
“There’s more than one person to blame,” says Arngrim. “I’m sure that it was not just one person who sexually abused Corey Haim, and I’m sure it wasn’t only him and Corey Feldman that knew about it. I’m sure that dozens of people were aware of the situation and chose to not report it.”
Arngrim, a board member and the national spokeswoman for protect.org, an organization that works to protect children from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, says greed in Hollywood allows sexual predators to flourish. “Nobody wants to stop the gravy train,” says Arngrim. “If a child actor is being sexually abused by someone on the show, is the family, agents or managers – the people who are getting money out of this – going to say, ‘OK, let’s press charges’? No, because it’s going to bring the whole show to a grinding halt, and stop all the checks. So, the pressure is there is not to say anything.”
“It’s almost a willing sacrifice that many parents are oblivious to – what kind of environment do they think that they’re pushing their kid into?” said Peterson. “The casting couch is a real thing, and sometimes just getting an appointment makes people do desperate things.”
Arngrim, who revealed her own sexual abuse in her 2010 autobiography, “Confessions of a Prairie Bitch,” explains: “I’ve heard from victims from all over the country. Everyone tells the same kind of story, everyone is told to keep it secret, everyone is threatened with something. Corey Feldman may have opened a can of worms by speaking out, but yes, this does go on.”
Even though Feldman spoke candidly about the abuse, he hasn’t named the predator. “People don’t want to talk about this because they’re afraid for their careers,” says Peterson. “From my perspective, what Corey did was pretty brave. It would be really wonderful if his allegations reached through all of the protective layers and identified the real people who are a part of a worldwide child pornography ring, because it’s huge and it respects no borders, just as it does not respect the age of the children involved.”

I had a terrible experience of sexual abuse as a teenager by a family member although it could have been a lot worse, it totally messed me up for many years.
I honestly do not understand why anybody would want to abuse anybody at any age for any reason. I wouldnt even wish harm on my worst enemy although I had done in the past I have dealt with all this stuff in my head now on my own and am just glad that I managed to and that it wasnt worse because it wrecked my life for many years. Even in my early twenties I went to see a hypnotherapist because I had terrible dreams and flashbacks.

He spoke out and I believe he did it for his friend Corey Haim, whom he loved dearly and if u watched their reality show when Haim confronted Feldman about being sexually abused and asked why Feldman did nothing to help him, Feldman and everyone watching then realized what was at the crux of Haim's self-destructive behavior and I know that broke Feldman's heart because he had to confront issues and situations he had buried deep inside himself for years.. I studied Art and Design in University and my first big job after graduating was for Disney/

This story reminds me of a ritual rite into Hollywood. They do say if you want to be famous you have to give some things up. The greed, ignorance, and deception is what keeps parents from throwing their kids into this Pedophile ranking system. Isn't it suspicious that a lot of child stars from way back have some form of issues with drugs, mental health, and whatnot. I think when children are put into the spotlight and enter Hollywood as the next big star a sacrifice has to be done, and unfortunately it's the child's mind, body, and soul. I fear that every young star in Hollywood has to go through this look how at Britney, Lidnesy, Miley, and a whole lot of kids who grow into adulthood and can't manage. Now look at what it will be like for Willow, Beiber and others. There was a story not too long ago that a member from B2K said that their manager raped them and had forced the ex-band mates to engage in sexual behavior. The ex-band mates were not pleased about his forthcoming and denied his allegations. I thought the story was true, and I may be wrong, but whether the statement was true or not I felt the ex-band mates attitude towards men/boys possibly being or have been raped was shame. I think society as a whole as more pity on a woman if she gets raped, and society wants to nurse her back to health (only if she wasn't promiscuous, drunk, or on drugs at the time), whereas men if they get raped they were never men to begin with (gay or straight). This mentality can drive men into suicide, drug addiction, and mental anguish. As a society I think when women and men come and confess they have been raped they both should get the same equal amount of understanding and care. I think the higher rankings in Hollywood are all pedophiles and not even just that, I think the higher uppers in all aspects of life are all Lucifer worshiping, menace to society, money loving, pedophiles. I don't know if ever more stories from children who have been abused in all forms can one day speak about what happened and who was their perpetrator. Hopefully, the lid being blown off of Universities sports coaches being accused of being pedophiles can give others men, women, boys, and girls the courage to speak up and speak out against these heinous acts and the perpetrator. I cannot stand when someone will come out & say they were molested or abused but they won't NAME NAMES. I understand your frustration but it's not that simple. Pedophiles groom their victims and never complete a "session" without a non-disclosure statement. That statement could entail a threat to the victim or someone/something close to the victim, it could be a statement of reverse psychology making the victim think they will be blamed if anything came out, the victim is even sometimes shamed into silence. I speak as a victim who didn't tell anyone for six years. I've worked with juvenile sex offenders as well. It's frustrating from the outside looking in, so try to imagine what the victim is going through.
Maybe he doesn't have any proof. Or maybe the statute of limitations has run out since it was more than 20 years ago. I agree it would be better to tell, but if he doesn't have evidence to back it up he could be sued for slander.

It is harsh to judge the victims like that. Speaking out can be the hardest thing in the world. In addition to possibly putting their own lives and family's lives at risk, naming names could destroy hundreds of other families and right or not it is a heavy burden for someone to bear knowing that what they say would have such an impact. If you haven't been in that position don't assume you know what it feels like. The problem with this type of crime is that reporting it often has a worse impact on the victim than the perp. It is a strange situation where victims often continue to have some kind of relationship with their attacker into their adulthood because the attackers are almost always family members/ in the same social circle/ an important individual in the victim's life

Regarding why people are scared to name names, I can think of at least one particularly good reason. When a former coworker of mine was found guilty of child molestation, he was also charged (and found guilty) of criminal intimidation. The 9-year-old child who had been abused told the court he had been scared to tell because the person had threatened to kill his parents. If someone had told me as a 9-year-old my parents would have been killed for telling, I probably would have kept my mouth shut too and just put up with suffering for their sakes. As an only child, I wouldn't have been able to conceive of life without my parents at that age. I know the celebrities speaking now are not children anymore. If they have young families of their own, they are probably so worried about the repercussions for their loved ones that they feel they can't afford to name names. Here's to hoping they find a way to do it while also protecting the ones they love.

I've always said Hollywood is built on top of Hell, just like in the movie Percy Jackson in the Lightning Thief. The secret entrance to get into the Underworld was underneath of the Hollywood sign. I do not have any children but I pray that if and when I do, they never want to be in the movie business or want to sing. Entertainment, unfortunately is the trappings of much blatant evil. Yep, L.A. Someone told me just yesterday how every year. in whatever city the Superbowl is in, hundreds of children are brought in to the hotels for the "pedophiles" who will be at the game. That was one of the worst things I have heard, horror for those children. We both said, how do the police, the hotels, the people involved, get away with it? What amazes me, that it happens on American soil, the land of the free? Mothers of the world need to stand up for the children. Just read a novel that deals with secrets that have been embedded in the family structure and linger for generations. It's called "REVELATIONS" and it's written by Laurel Dewey. It's a MUST read if you are into this subject matter. In the story, a 15-year-old BOY is kidnapped and feared dead until a strange series of events point to a deeper conspiracy. When I read this thread, it was almost like that book was coming to life. The book really shows you how embedded people are in NOT revealing the truth because they are either protecting themselves or someone else who has something over them. The parents of the missing boy are absolutely chilling and, I think, the author purposely put a lot of mind control symbolism into the story for those of us who are open and understand the significance of it.

Good for Corey Feldman. That took some stones. I applaud him for telling the world why these kids spent most of their lives killing themselves. All you have to do is go onto IMDB and look at the movies he was in during that time and see the names of many of the sick, twisted culprits that are listed from directors, producers, executive producers… Two in particular were known to be gay. But look at the list closely and you will also easily see who the Hollywood mogul is. Read between the lines. The same people society celebrates and applauds are the same ones hurting our children. They will have to give an account to God for that evil and they will be judged. In the movie aladin you can hear him say in a very low voice "good teenagers take off your clothes" which is the subliminal message, but it should be heard as "good tiger take off and go" or the other way around. I am born and raised in Canada, and my father used to work for the government here when he was much younger. His duties were nothing special in particular, mostly worked for the liberal party on campaigns and ideas.
One year he was asked to accompany a leader down to the states for a head conference. He soon realized he was being used as a gopher more than anything else, getting food, alcohol etc. He left after a final straw, which was when a USA congressman approached my father and asked him to bring him a number of girls, and not any kind of girls but young ones… 14 and under. My father was appalled, at the time he had two kids (myself being only 8).
The man offered my father a huge sum in cash, which my father rejected as he couldnt wrap his head around the whole idea.. he said to have felt sick to his stomach. He left abruptly , quite his job and never went back to the government.
I just remember when he told me this story, I myself was only 16 years old… at the time I had aspirations of being a 'triple threat'.. He told me this and concluded by saying its a dark world we live in and people want to exploit others at any costs.

it has lomg since been established that hollywood is full of sick twisted perverts, but the buck doesnt stop there it goes all the way to the white house and beyond. Religious leaders, politicians, athletes, captains of industry, military officials etc are all pedophiles who do indeed rape/sodomize their own children as well as others. I understand from my own research that ancient greek men often seduced young boys as evidenced in their art, and they did believe that it gave them some kind of power to do so. Most of these pedophiles come from long lines of inbred families who violate their own children, so most of them have been victimized as well. This is why it is so easy for me to believe that MJ actually did molest young children, because he was in fact molested/raped himself. My question is, how do we blame those who were life-long victims themselves. For some of them, it is how they have been raised their entire lives…so should they know better? I'm not taking any pedophiles side, because i was victimized as a child. But if we start the blame game, then who do we start and end with?

Look at the video of Anna Nicole Smith in one of her child alters, and know that they killed her son right in front of her at the hospital to keep her quiet and under control! There is no monetary value on the happiness and well being of my children.
The problem with naming names is that instead of cautioning parents on the general dangers of Hollywood it becomes a witch hunt of a single offender. If someone manages to get that person prosecuted without ending up dead like Haim or Phoenix, then everyone thinks the treat is gone and the pedo's go back to life as normal.
