It still doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that God loves all things. It is clearly written that that the lukewarm are despised (Rev 3:16). There is a clear distinction between what God does and does not love. If God was accepting of all things, the old testament wouldn't be what it is. Not that that is the same vision of Christianity followed today, but God clearly did not accept what the nations were doing then and brought them down.

Yes, I am saying indifference is evil. And I am saying that The Bible, according to my interpretation, is saying that God accepts all. Here is the thing. Trying to dissect and decipher a Bible that is itself full of contradictions is not what I'm trying to do here. The Bible was written to control people. It was written to brainwash people. It was written to divide people. The Bible doesn't guide my life. The purpose of my response is to point out that while we (including me) are busy judging people, we are ourselves being judged. Because none of us are perfect (including me). Therefore, we should uplift one another, inspire one another, love one another — even those that we perceive to be evil. For one simple fact…whatever we do to others, we are doing to ourselves. And that is the truth. I'm not saying anything to you that I wouldn't say to myself. One of the biggest barriers to communication is misunderstanding where a people are coming from. If you don't feel that you have the answers within you to understand love, then if I were you, I would seriously reflect, meditate, and do some soul searching. I said "occult deception" in regards to that type of philosophy… you do realize there's a difference between "cult" and "the occult" right?
And yes, as a matter of fact it really all boils down to two conventions of thinking within the spiritual… the mystery schools/occult/crowley/blavatsky/bailey/masonic – wherein man, using his own faculties of reason and "love" can transcend to a god-like status and are solely responsible for their own redemption… with the "profane" being worthy of manipulation and death. Yet there's a catch – one's own "reason" and "love" is actually guided by "ascended masters" and "spiritual guides".

If you read my post you will see that I admit to being a hypocrite. No, I didn't know the difference from cult and occult. Thank you for explaining it to me. The reason that I do believe I'm spiritually awake is this: I know that I don't know everything and it's okay that I don't. I respect and value the opinions of others and I feel that I can learn a thing or two from ALL people. Not only that, I respect ALL people (even the ones we judge as 'evil'). Here is why: I once was very selfish. I only cared about myself. I was an alcoholic by 16 and a drug addict by 24. I stole from people, I cheated on people. I was promiscuous. I even sold my son's game so that I could obtain drugs. I was a female 'thug'. I was filthy and perverse. But because I was loved, because I was LOVED, I slowly came out of my hell on earth. Today, I have a wonderful husband, 3 wonderful kids — all of which we are putting through private school, a beautiful house, I am healthy and fit — not overweight, I have my own business, I have multiple sources of income, I LOVE what I do and I love my life. I feel fortunate that I have the resources, the free time, to read blogs such as this. That I have the time to study religion and science and psychology. I am currently in school with a 4.00 GPA. I just got inducted into the Honor Society. I have come a long way from those days where I kept liquor under my pillow because I felt that liquor was my bff. I'm awake because I know that all that really matters is that we create value to the HUMAN race and inspire others to do the same. My intent was not to attack. One of the reasons I'm doing so well is that I see the positive side of everything. So I took a post and suggested that someone uplift and inspire others. That is not an attack nor was it intended as such. I suggested that, because that is how I myself ascended to a higher place, not only because of the Grace of God, but because of the Grace of others. You sound like a wonderful, kind, and giving individual with a good heart and good mind. Maybe you, or VC, or someone else can help me with this because I've been on a quest to find this answer. Why do you think Satan exists? What does it mean to worship Satan? Is Satan real or is it some other fictional character that man created? If Satan is real, can you tell me what your personal relationship with him is?
This is what I believe about Satan, but hey, since I don't know everything, I could be wrong.
I believe people use Satan as a scapegoat. A scapegoat for evil things that MEN and WOMEN not SATAN do. When this happens, responsibility is automatically deflected from the men and women who should be held accountable for their evil acts. Since there is no accountability (because it's Satan doing it) we remain in this perpetual state of moral decline.
Everything is psychological. EVERYTHING. You can't sell your soul to Satan. The state of this world is not Satan's fault. It is our fault. Point blank. Now one of the ways I do MY part is I hold myself accountable and I teach my children to be responsible for their own actions. If they do something wrong, they should admit it, learn from their mistake, and grow. But they are to NEVER blame anyone else for something they CHOOSE to do. Not the kid next door, not the devil, not Satan.

If you know the creation story….Adam & Eve were in a perfect world given to them by God….they knew God on the most personal level any human has ever had the privilege to know him on….they knew no death, pain, shame or of evil things and only ONE thing was asked of them: to not eat of the tree of knowledge for once they did they were warned that they would know of good and evil and would surely die (some texts translate this part to WANT TO DIE).
So Lucifer comes along as a serpent and deceives Eve and tells her "Why should you listen to Him? You should eat of this tree and gain knowledge of good and evil and you WILL NOT DIE, but be like God yourself!"….and she falls for it….then convinces Adam he should do the same and they instantly felt guilt and shame and became aware of their nakedness and hid themselves from God when he came around to relate with them…..He already knew what was going on of course being omnipresent yet wanted them to answer for themselves (accountability) and when Adam was asked what he had done and why….his response was to put the blame on Eve and even on God himself for creating Eve and giving her unto him as a wife….Eve blamed Satan and this is the original sin…the fall of man…God then cursed all 3 and made it so humans from then on would inherit the curse of Adam and Eve but also that one day the children of these two would crush the serpent (which was a prophecy of Jesus overcoming death and his followers being able to do so as well) and so we have the world we live in today.
My studies along with help from a few good pastors and men of God have come to the conclusion that the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth mentioned in Revelations when "Satan will be locked up for some time but must be let out for a while after" is a buffer period in which man will have no devil around to tempt them yet sin will still end up taking place….this is so man has no scapegoat and will be held accountable for their own actions as sin will be dealt with immediately with death as the punishment….this is to weed out the last of the true righteous humans on earth forever.
I dont know how much of this you already were aware of or not but I hope it helps and makes sense cuz you seem to have already been on the right track even more so than many Christians who think they are saved simply by believing in Christ and continue to live sinful lives and whom blame Satan for all that is evil in their life….WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE! That is why the fellowship of brethren within the Church is important when in the right context….I and a couple brothers from my church practice accountability with each other and make it a point to be in each others lives to a certain extent and to confide in each other when doubt or sin is clouding our senses and to pray for one another as much as possible….when you are alone in your sin its too easy for Satan to tempt you for idle hands are the devils playthings. This system has helped me tremendously in my growth as when I wasnt practicing accountability I was a lot quicker into falling back into old ways and habits and would feel less guilty about it….now if i miss two services in a row best believe I have 1 – 3 brothers checking in on me to make sure I am ok and asking if I need anything….and I do the same for any of them..when any of us needs serious counsel or confidence in a matter we are most likely to drop what we are doing to assist one another cuz we are all too well of the spiritual attacks that Satan will bring and how they are simply temptations and the rest falls on us if we choose to take that fruit or not!

First off I commend you on your victory over your past strongholds….I am sure you feel like a different person now as I do with my own victory…..
The love you recieved may not have come from a Christian or someone who believes in God at all but you should realize God is the ultimate Love and his grace has allowed that love to flow in your direction….no human no matter how righteous they can seem is filled with that love of their own accord….we did not create ourselves nor give ourselves souls or spirit and definately did not invent love.
The fact that Gods love transcends even without direct belief in Him is proof that he exists and is omniscient!!!!!

You are in prime place for sanctification all you need to do know is understand propitiation and what it means to have inherited sin and that Jesus took that curse with Him to the grave and conquered it for us so that we can be clean in the Lords eyes again! Once you truly accept this in your heart the Holy Spirit can come into your being and do the rest even if it takes awhile to understand Gods work is always in process and He will not cease til He has finished what He's started in you!
We all can come to this place and by different means…..most of us from a bad lifestyle usually come with all our dirt on us and learn that we don't have to change to be accepted but that He will change us after He takes us in and that's a good lesson that helps keep us grounded….you got cleaned up (for the most part, cuz you are still a born sinner in the flesh) already so you may not feel the need for a God but I pray that you do….I pray that you realize it was His power as all things on this earth are allowed to prosper through his sovereignty and that you can rejoice and praise Him for your victory!

When Jesus the Christ spoke of Hell he said "Gehenna" which is an actual location in their "modern" times. It was a burning garbage heap. In a sense it is useless to man so the garbage is burned (metaphor – refiners fire see proverbs et al.) into something useful. Ash in the air = clouds, and I'm sure the ground was then used by farmers for fertilizer.
But, is there a hell? It's actually worse than the medieval concepts/propaganda of a place of burning fires and romantic scenes of picturesque torture. The reality, is far worse.

Jesus the Christ even reminds us that we will hear of earthquakes and conflicts in cities, and rumors of wars, but to heed them note. Focus on saving your own locality and strengthing it.

Jesus was the only BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD because he came into human form….the sons of God you speak of where angels who were supposed to be serving God but left their place and turned against Him. Heaven or hell. You make your pick. God doesn't choose whom you want to serve and spend eternity. So don't push blame on God or rationalize on how his name should be called. Never have and don't know of any Catholics that don't believe they can't pray to Christ directly. Many Catholics ask saints to also pray to God on their behalf… there may be a valid critique in this but nothing that should invoke such an embittered response. I do both… but I'll tell you from my experience, its far easier to silently ask God for forgiveness than to be brutally honest in presence of another person… regardless if they are a priest. The power does not reside in the priest, but in one's ability to be humble and honest amongst his fellow man… regardless of who that is.

I have yet to meet a catholic that doesn't go by those things i mentioned and yes they constantly try to convert us and bring us to their "one true religion", they dont knock on doors but anytime a discussion of God comes up they emphasize that if we are not Catholic we are wrong…my wifes family is all mexican catholics and they go on n on for days about their holy mother mary and the pope and other saints yet never speak of Jesus….my wife is a caretaker and she was caring for an older woman who kicked her out of her house for offending her holy mother cuz my wife told her that mary wasnt sinless and this woman believes she is for some reason…..she even once told my wife that Jesus wasnt doing anything for her so she prayed to some saint (cant remember his name) and dressed up as him for 3 months and her prayer was answered!
All the mexicans around here are catholic yet never go to church and constantly live in sin and love to party all the time….they all have baptisms for their babies who have no idea what the hell is going on and its mostly an excuse to have some wealthy person be the godfather so that the parents can be chummy with them and ask them for favors all the time….and the baptism always has a party afterward where everyone gets drunk and acts a damn fool!

I practice no denomination and hesitate at even calling myself a Christian at times because of what denominations (especially Catholicism) have done to the rep of the faith….. But I am also against many evengelical doctrines and methods as well and am still deciding if I'm even for a Trinity Doctrine as I am studying more on the roots of it…..
I simply believe in God being our Creator….he gave us 10 specific commandments that he wants us to follow and obey. I believe in propitiation and that we are all inherit of sin thanks to Adam & Eve and that without Jesus Christ paying for it we would have no chance of being worthy of Gods grace and glory! I don't agree in celebrating holidays or feasts unless Jesus and his disciples also observed and honored them as well.
All other traditions, celebrations, observations and symbolism is heresy and some cases blasphemy and I will speak against it no matter how any Catholic, Baptist, Protestant, Jehovahs Witness, Mormon or fundamentalist feels about it. Did you read about the fraternity party at Yale where the people who stayed past midnight wear told to remove their costumes, then sexually explicit hazings took place. Now, the fraternity and college are facing sexual battery charges. People who attended the party said that it was well known that if you didn't want to get naked, you should leave before midnight. Maybe some people were kept in dark about this or stayed out of curiosity and now they're upset that they found out the hard way what really goes on after midnight. Ive run across a few in various cities…most of em where small and in out of the way places and I just happened to run into them on accident in the middle of neighborhoods where you wouldn't expect them to be and that makes them even more mysterious. They never have windows either.
