Um, ok I'll bite. What is wrong with CERN? They are exploring what makes up our universe. Isn't this a good thing? What is the worry? It maybe government-funded, but universities are right in there.... it's not some top-secret military thing going on there... CERN seems pretty transparent to me. There are better things to target, if you ask me. Like Woomera. Etc. Nothing wrong with scientific research!? What is wrong is when the results of experimentation is kept secret - which, in CERN's case, would be extremely difficult! (ie too many non-government researchers & scientists & students etc)...

When someone as well known in the scientific community as Stephen Hawking says that their experiments are dangerous to the existence of the whole universe, they worship the goddess of destruction Shiva who is the statue in front of their building, have 666 in their logo, and name part of their project after a character in a childrens book called Alice and Wonderland.. (ALICE) how is one supposed to feel about their scientific fuckery and playing god?

In any case, the 'big bang theory' is just that- a theory. why are they trying to smash holes in reality, open vortexes and try to re-enact it when it is not even something scientists can say for sure happened? 'god particles'- what? this is dangerous pseudo science. I think science can be used for good. but it can also be very evil in the hands of those playing god. monsanto and the atom bomb are 2 very striking examples.

And.. im not really sure why they are indoctrinating children with worshiping it through LEGO..

You need biblical perspective to see whats wrong with it, otherwise you will have hard time understanding or believing it...Try this article for introduction, if you find it interesting dig deeper yourself. http://www.facelikethesun.com/the-tower-...elerators/

the relation to LEGO is about "building blocks"
(if you know what CERN is looking for, you'll understand the relevance straight away)
...maybe think of it as marketing for a future demographic

fwiw, i did a short LEGO MOVIE analysis over at the ATS forums some years ago
(there's a few there now, most deal with the introduction sequences of the movies only)
keep an eye out for a lady gaga/transhumanism topic there, which seems to have respawned here Heart

Speaking of CERN:

People who surrender their former religious beliefs have got to be some of the smartest and bravest people in the world because they set out to find truth even while under the threat of "eternal damnations". George Carlin

Adressing a few posts up:

An institute can have a diety statue out front without worshipping the diety. Religious symbolism and iconography is not solely for literal meaning, people can like things without worshipping them. Besides, with destruction comes renewal. Tongue

Also, "theory" in science does not have the same meaning as it does in layman's terms.

Quote:In everyday language a theory means a hunch or speculation. Not so in science. In science, the word theory refers to a comprehensive explanation of an important feature of nature supported by facts gathered over time.
