Honestly some of the behaviors in my house I now wonder that if it's allllll these years I've let (whatever) it is right in to me and my kids thru music, tv and video games. Yeah VC/ Mario a little extreme but it's because how ELSE can they get infront of it? They opened my eyes so now for real VC please Mario 'listen' to me.. For some like me, you are the only word getting thru. I need a series, guidance something about me and my family being addicted to media, waking up and what to do next? I have teens and feel like now I am lost bc how can I guide them if I'm clueless? I need some kind of guidance to answer questions and know my next move. Is anyone else reading this feeling like I am? Confused and embarrassed and honestly haunted for the ones who have souled out? All this signage and references just there's too much. No coincidence. VC/Mario please do a series for waking up and taking control back or link me somewhere. This is all seriously overwhelming and I have teens to guide.
First, congratulations on Waking Up, it is not an easy thing to do. Many people choose, when presented with evidence such as that on this site, to ignore it and continue pretending like the world is just a big random chain of coincidences. (My own husband refused to believe me for years, and is only now starting to come around.)
Creeper is right, we all go through a period of depression and even hopelessness when we realize how BIG the problem/scam is. But that will only be temporary. You will reach down into yourself and find the strength you need to persevere. These creatures are NOT all-powerful--that is only the illusion they bombard us with to make us pliant and afraid.
Like you, I am a parent, and I have spent my life around kids of all ages. It is very important that you give them this knowledge about the War for Souls. If you are smart, you have already been talking to them about "stranger danger" and what to do in an emergency. This is not that different, simply more extreme.
You can start by discussing the symbols and celebrities they encounter in their daily lives. The trick is tailoring the amount and the delivery of the info to the age and personality of the child. For example, you wouldn't have the same conversation about Miley being warped and abused with your little ones as you would w/your teenagers. (I have a hunch that once they know the underlying reasons why someone like her acts that way, and that it is Not Normal, they will be relieved, and be better able to discern the difference between what's acceptable on tv, and what's acceptable in real life.)
Eventually the discussions will lead to the whole Good vs. Evil deal. I hope you use it as an opportunity to reaffirm your family's faith, whatever it may be. Once we (and the kids) realize that the concepts are Real, the Battle is real, not just some set of old stories, we tend to re-evaluate and prioritize. As long as you teach them not to give their everlasting soul up for anything or anyone, you'll be setting them on the right path.
I hope I don't sound too obnoxious; I am not pretending to have all the answers. But I have been dealing with the same struggle you are now facing for quite some time, and if it makes it easier for you (or anyone else) I am happy to pass along my ideas and strategies.
Good luck and God Bless,
