It seems almost dangerous to become famous.
Once a "household name" you become a "brand".
Once you become a "brand" you are a money maker just for being you.
Antartica is like Arizona in the summer compared to being surrounded by "friends" who love money, not you, it is the coldest place on Earth, it makes riches meaningless to warm the soul, even from the vain joy a new this-or-that can provide.
Not for frozen slaves it can't.
There are some people who do become trapped by their fame and management notoriously populated with money loving sociopaths.
But, it is hard for some people to feel sorry for a multi-millionaire of course. LOL
Money is not everything, it helps, but it does not help with the icy money lovers they get stuck with who need to control the person to make more money. Only getting old, or fat and ugly is the escape. Some try the suicide route.
But not all celebrities end up being trapped like this, it is a minority.
Some just quit too. They pull a "see ya wouldn't wanna be ya", and they mean it. Quite amazing for someone to walk away from that extra 100 million over the next 10 years, like Martika pulled off. But some of them made enough anyways, I mean how much does it really take to eat and have some shelter and a little transpo?
Not much in reality. You can only eat so much, sleep in one bed, and drive one car.
If one is satisfied with the basics they can escape anytime. "you can always find a place to go, if you can keep your sanity".
