Disillusioned with life?

We have an advantage since we know the meaning and purpose to it.

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. [51:56 Quran]

Worship is immediately seen as a negative thing to someone on the outside, but like I've mentioned on these boards before, a smile to your spouse is a form of worship, a kind word to a stranger, etc.

"Worship" is anything that pleases the Creator.

If your feeling down or lost remember we all have a purpose.  No matter how insignificant you think yours might be, you're here for a reason.

May the Almighty ease your path.

"My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never
miss me and that what misses me was never meant for me"

Oh i see. I was reading it as "nothing", as in there is no purpose.

JZK for the insights.

I did actually mean to just leave a blank post. Apparently you have to have something in a post, so I got a plain white background off of Google images.

In a nutshell, I don't believe life has a purpose.

It is all meaningless.

I was also curious as to what other people would make of a blank post being the op of this thread.

The Creeper,
One must go to God for that answer, not forum posts. He is Truth.
Faith happens between God (Who initiates it) and man (who seeks it).

You are mistaken here Akhi

Life does have a purpose and it is not meaningless

In the least, this life determines the next.

I've had some rough days in my past and I'm sure I will in the future as well but every time I turned to the Most High things afterwards became easy. Every time I turn to worship and take refuge in my Lord things always work themselves out.

Worship your Lord and good things happen. Sometimes it all hits you at once or you get it in increments.

Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alaihi wasalam) said:

"My similitude and that of the life of this world is that of a traveler who took a rest at mid-day under a shade of a tree and then left it."       (Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and al-Hakim)

In short, life is what you make of it. That is my opinion since nearly dying last year. To me each day is a gift I am thankful for.

I used to suffer from depression, so I can relate to the feeling that it is all hopeless. I am sad that I cannot help you cure from it, the only cure for it can come from within. Turn to your Lord and pray for Him to ease your suffering. But also know that your Lord will give you a reward for the pain you suffer today.

I have learned to not hold on to the past, because it makes today a sad affair, and not to worry about the future because it ruins the present. I live in the moment as much as possible.

Meditating frequently also helps me to stay in the present and let go of stress and anxiety. It also helps a lot to do Islamic rosary prayer. It really calms the mind.

I recommend you read the book '''Don't be sad'' which is a book full of Hadith about finding happiness through Islamic teaching.

Much of that comes down to what I wrote above.

God bless you brother, may He bring you a purpose and happiness.Ameen Heart
