False Flag. Although their "explanation" just makes the gov look really bad. The VA is ALREADY in hot water for their treatment(or lack of) returning soldiers. If they sent him back deranged, then didn't DO anything about it, to me, that's almost as bad as the shooting itself....
I'm unsure the exact details of the man's deployment to Bagram AFB, but if he didn't leave Bagram I would like out "deranged". That place is Cancun compared to other installations there. I'm not saying I want to be there, but thats the place to be over there. I wish not to hijack this thread, but this seems a little overboard. I get it, soldiers inevitably do change in war, and some never let go of that. Bear in mind, they swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and protect against enemies foreign and domestic. They are very serious about that, they want to protect YOU. I strongly believe the military may have disillusioned him, but not deranged him. Our troops have a love for us the likes of which some of you will never see.
Why blast the " crazy ex soldier" narrative? These people, though only representing 1% of the population are trained not only in warfare, but in leadership as well. They are pushed to be the best. The army values are loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. They live by those values. It's in the interest of those in power to quell that power.
