Has anyone here read it? I read it a few years ago. Whether you believe her story or not, it makes for interesting reading.
Every time I've seen reference to this book, it plays up Bob Hope's involvement in Taylor's ordeal, but you get the impression Henry Kissinger pulled more strings. I've never been a fan of either man; if at least the Kissinger stuff is true, it wouldn't surprise me.
When I was young, I never understood why Bob Hope got so many TV specials back in the 70s-80s because I never thought he was funny. He was this old guy who seemed to look past the camera to a cue card, reading bad Carter jokes, then Reagan jokes, etc. I'd only watch if I knew he had on a band I wanted to see.
Anyway, just curious to know what others think of the book.
