I haven't experienced many "glitches in the matrix" however I did have on major scary incident early last year.
Posted this in my "berenstien bears (bear with me)" thread months ago.
Quote:One night, early this year, a friend of my partner and myself texted us asking if we wanted to come hang out at her friends place. Her friend had moved out into the country side, and we had only been down that road once or twice before years ago. It was snowy outside, and the roads were a bit slick, so we were hesitant, but we really wanted to go visit her because she was moving to Georgia in a week and it would be one of the last times we could hang out with her.
It was around 9 PM when we left. Since we had no idea where her friend lived, we called her and asked directions, obviously. She said we took the main road up and out of town, and followed it for a long while, into the area with all the farm roads. She told us to look out for a Church undergoing some construction, with a "Road Closed" sign sitting out front, and to turn onto the farm road right across from it. She said it would be quite a long drive, but not too long either.
So we went out there, we drove and drove for a very long time. We also didn't think we took the right road since we didn't see any Churches at all, or really any sort of buildings. So after driving in the country for about 5 minutes longer, still not seeing a single Church (which is very weird for Missouri, there are churches about everywhere) - we called our friend up.
We said "Are we going the right way? We don't see any Church." She said it was up there eventually.
At that point we saw the only landmark we could mention to her, after driving forever seeing nothing but fields and random houses far off in the back near the forest. It was a mobile home sales and log cabin manufacturer. It had a very tall neon sign lit up that said "Log Cabins". So we mentioned that to her.
She said to us "I dunno, lemme ask them (my friends) if they know if you are close or not"
We were getting quite anxious at that point since our old Ford Escort 1994 was on it's last legs and it was so cold and snowy out. We thought of turning back then.
We passed the Log cabin outlet, and went up a small hill while waiting for her to reply. Still no Church.
She answers with "It's a Church undergoing construction with a Road Closed sign out front."
Frusturated I say to her "Yeah, haha, I know that but... We just don't see it anywhere, maybe we passed it already?" though indeed we hadn't. I asked "Maybe they took the Road Closed sign down already?"
But as soon as I said that, the Church showed up in the distance, on the left hand side of the road. It was a small little Church, in the corner of some trees, with a bright white flood light on the front of it, lit up. There wasn't much 'construction' going on, just some cinderblocks and plywood. And for sure, the large orange 'Road Closed' sign in the gravel driveway.
I said "OH Nevermind, I see it now, is the street right across? Or is it just before or after the Church? I don't see a road at all."
My friend hesitates on the phone for a moment as she asks her friends again. She reply's with "I dunno, it's just across from it."
Frusturated, I say "No I really don't see a road." We even slowed our speed to a crawl, and looked everywhere. There was no road, no road sign with "Farm road XX" on it. There was nothing, it wasn't snowed in or anything, there was just a solid line of barbed wire fencing, like it was all one big field belonging to a farmer.
So we drove passed it all together. I said "Hang on, we are going to turn around and see if we can find it, we will be there soon." And got off the phone with our friend.
We drove around a bend going to the left, and over a small little bridge on a creek. Then the road straightened back out and we drove and drove. We looked around at the scenery.
The sky was clear and we could see the moon and stars quite nicely, and all the fields glittered with the snow. But no more farm houses, no more driveways or anything. No bundles of hay, no tractors. Just endless snowy fields and no where to turn around.
This went on for about 5 minutes, before we got really scared. We thought "Oh no what if we get stranded out here? Our car shouldn't be this far out." But we had no choice, we couldn't turn around in the middle of the road because it was a bit too narrow, and too slick, with icy ditches on either side and fences and stuff. Also we worried about somebody driving down the road and hitting us, though we hadn't seen another driver on the road since we left town.
It was about 10 PM at this point, and we had driven aproximately 8 minutes away from the Church we needed to turn at. Then we finally saw an opportunity to turn around. It was a small inlet with a farm gate, leading up to a small house with a couple pickup trucks in their driveway. We pulled in when we got to it.
We sat there for a moment, before turning around. My partner and I made a joke about some angry farmer coming out with a shotgun going "Get off my property!!!" and we were actually a bit worried about it more than joking. But we wanted to make sure no one was coming either direction, and there was a blind spot on our right because it dropped down into a hill.
So when we finally decided it was safe, we pulled out and started to drive back in the direction we came from.
We drove for a little while, and there we were relieved we weren't stupid and missed anywhere else to turn around. Sure enough, it was just open fields fenced in on either side of the road.
But then I saw something I'll never forget.
I was the passenger during this ride, and I had been sitting in the right hand side passenger seat. On the left side of the road now, going back, I saw something I couldn't have missed on the way down the road.
These, giant white, trailer looking things. Like the kind of trailers carried by large Semi trucks. Solid bright white, with vertical slats on them. Except they weren't going to be carried by Semi trucks.
They were enormous. They were like, absolutely MEGA huge. Bigger than any barn or storage area a farm could have. It almost seemed impossible how big this thing was. Now, I say 'trailers' because its what it looked like, except it all formed one giant cube. It looked like they were stacked close together as possible.
The thing that worries me, is it felt like it was there, and wasn't there all at once. Hard to explain.
It seemed to just, wipe out of my mind though, pretty quick and we kept driving. I felt sick.
I turned to my partner, but didn't want to worry them too much as we were both already stressed out. And we just kept driving and driving. It felt longer than the 8 minutes past the Church by now. And we still hadn't approached it.
Then my partner says to me "Something isn't right..."
I felt my heart jump and said "Oh thank God, it isn't just me." then I said, "Did you see that giant white thing?" and they said they hadn't.
I was stressed, why hadn't we gotten back to that Church yet? All we wanted was to go see our friend.
We kept driving, still endless fields with nothing in them. No bend in the road, no Church, nothing. The road kept on straight, and then we saw it in the distance. "LOG CABINS" all in red glowing light.
We thought "Oh no no no. That cannot be right. We can't be back at that place, why didn't we pass that Church."
So we begin to feel even weirder than before. Just after the LOG CABIN place, we come upon another Church. One we definitely didn't see on our drive out there!!!!
It was open, and there were TONS of people there. It was almost 10:30 at night. Why were everyone going to this Church right now? Why didn't we see it before?
We pulled in the parking lot of the Church and found a space to park. Everyone in the Church looked happy and were eating a pot luck or something. No one standing near the window noticed us, or looked our way.
We called our friend up and told her what happend, and we were scared out of our minds. How could we have driven that far and not seen anything? How had we missed the church on the way back? Where was the creek? Where was anything? Why was the whole road so desolate and empty?
Honestly to get how strange it was, you would had to have been there.
She calmed us down on the phone and we pulled out of this Church from out of nowhere, and drove back toward the LOG CABIN place, because we knew for sure the Construction Church was just after it.
And yes, it was there this time. And this time the road we were meant to turn on in the first place was clearly visible this time.
We were at a loss as to how all that happened. And we felt watched, we felt sick. We felt like it was some cruel joke being played on us. We felt like lab rats being sent through a maze.
But we did end up at our friends house, and afterward we drove our friend back home to town, mostly because we didn't want it to happen again and needed friendly company.
Also had objects dissapear and be replaced.
I can't explain this phenomenon better than anybody else probably could.
Have you had any shifts in reality, Case?
Always interesting to hear others experiences, for sure.
