Allah......who is all knowing..

Sent an angel with a Written message..

To a man...

Who an all knowing God...

Would have known... ,

Could never read it...

Where is the logic....?/

“I am free, no matter what rules surround me.
If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them;
If I find them too obnoxious, I break them.
I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for
everything I do..."

Allah is above all logic and reason. Your confusion is un-justified because if you think there was an error in the very beginning, then how are we still getting the same message nearly 1,400 years later?  If anything, it's proof of the miraculous happenings of the Quran, and the strength of God's word to make it through a near illiterate man in the 7th century all the way to being in millions upon millions of copies in print and all over the internet, and memorized in thousands of people's minds.

There are many muslims on this board that know much more than I, so be prepared to have your question fully answered and over answered so hopefully you are willing to accept these answers.

The Quran itself means..........the recital/recitation
it is passed orally..so one who can neither read nor write can memorise it..
which was the most common way to pass/store information at the time

FYI the quran was written down way after the prophet PBUH's death

Masha Allaah! well said mrgrimm -  jazakAllah khair.  Actually, we are in year 1437 Hijri which starts from 13 years after Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation of Quran from Almighty God. (Quran was revealed in parts over the course of 23 years).  http://hijritoday.com/

There isn't, that's why faith is required.

Because dem atheists/agnostics/new age jinn worshipers have logic Big Grin

And what's illogical about a prophet who can't read or write?

Maybe that was Allah's plan all along? To make an illiterate man a Prophet?

See how the OP's hypothesis can crumble so easily?

I can't talk for Atheists or New Age Jinn worshippers but as an Agnostic myself, I like things to make sense.

The potential logic is that we can't comprehend 'God' if it was to show itself so it sent a messenger but wouldn't 'God' at least be able to present itself in a form we can comprehend and receive the message directly?

Who am I to assume what and how 'God' thinks? If it even thinks at all.

That's why faith is required.
