I see it to a point, and I know there's truth to it. When I first entered the underworld I had this overwhelming Need to have pink hair and was suddenly all about zebra print. Leopard was a suitable second. I thought I was going off the rails. (A few months later it started to click into place when I learned about MK.)
I never really thought about it when it comes to cereal. Although I did find the Lucky Charms shapes and the Trix Rabbit rather suspect. Though now that you mention it, Froot Loops and stuff do tend to use the same primary colours as Google and whatnot. I'm not familiar with the BBC as I don't watch TV and I think that's mostly a British channel anyways. Though I could be wrong. At any rate, I imagine they use a lot of primary colours like Froot Loops and a lot of b&w patterns?
Over here is this random Big Yellow Boot or whatever show. It got huge seemingly out of nowhere. It is stupid and weird yet the blonde chick is oddly likeable, possibly because she's cute af.
