My wife and I love zombie movies... I think we seen every single zombie movie so far
Our all time favorite got to be "Dawn of the dead", the remake...
We are still following the walking dead but that show went downhill ever since the second season
The zombie culture (movies, art, series....) reflects the condition of humanity... As in we are "the walking dead"... a world of walking "brain dead" people
We don't think for ourselves, we are slaves to the system and the debtors...
I see zombies as a metaphor for loss of the ability to think independently or critically and an insatiable desire to consume and pursue our whims and desires
Zombies are a metaphor for what others might call "sheeple" or "kool-aid drinkers" or drones - the "mass men" of society who lack the ability to question the premises of their society/condition. Instead, they operate as an unthinking swarm and their only motivation is consumerism and to satiate their desires.
Hollywood are mocking us
I hear the zombies are unleashed on Black Fridays in the US
On a serious note biological zombies are "real"... Well the person is not entirely dead..
The process involves alchemy (powerful anesthetic) and black magic. The product consumed just keeps you barely alive, your heart almost stops beating and the brain activity is down to a minimum... the coroner will just assume you are dead and you will be buried.. only to rise few days later
You can watch "The Serpent and the Rainbow"... interesting movie
