I did that thing for 30 min or more last night and it was OBVIOUS that I was speaking to people, I do believe that there is AI that switches you to new people on key words, I noticed if I said I was Human and they were to as SOON as we both understood that it switched to some random unrelated thought or question. Remember there are people LIKE ME that understand that its a Game and SCREW with gullible people who THINK its a bot, as well as why THINGS are purposely said WRONG cuz its a person, people say well you have a typo so I know ur not a bot, i say im not then a differnt random person comes in lol Ill show you myself but you still wont believe it lol. Judging byt he conversations posted here, I'm of the opinion that it is actually throwing two random users together which provides a huge miscommunication.
The way waygie puts it doesn't seem likely, these people being paid and such. Most of them seem to have no idea what is going on and that "cover up" was probably him just saying that he doesn't normally slip up and type Bye as BYe. The person is almost always saying he isn't a bot rather than he is a bot, so a slip up like that is a very human error that happens to me all of the time even though I try to prevent it.
If it is an AI I believe it's a rather good AI in many cases, but some of it seems too good. But it's the confusion that results when two new users are put in front of one another that leads me to believe it is certainly two users and not an AI chatbot. It makes sense and is a humorous experiment:
You take two people, hide them from sight, then tell the first person he will be talking to a bot and then you tell the second person he will be talking to a bot. If they have no reason not to believe you then they will certainly think they are talking to a bot 90% of the time and that bot is trying to trick them into believing it's not actually a bot. In reality it's two humans arguing over which of them isn't a bot. To the host of the experiment this would be very funny I think.
You could do the same thing in different fashion just standing behind a curtain and using voice synthesizers or something.
The only doubt I have about it being human v. human is "What happens if nobody else is using the program when you try?" I mean the chances of that would be slim because someone somewhere is probably going to be trying it out at all hours of the day, but if no one was on and you got on and there was just no one responding then obviously it is human vs. human. Then the jig is up. However if it is actually AI, then someone will always be available until the site is taken down.
