White House Facilitating Access to Your Internet History

Source: Washington Post

The Obama administration is seeking to make it easier for the FBI to compel companies to turn over records of an individual’s Internet activity without a court order if agents deem the information relevant to a terrorism or intelligence investigation.

The administration wants to add just four words — “electronic communication transactional records” — to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge’s approval. Government lawyers say this category of information includes the addresses to which an Internet user sends e-mail; the times and dates e-mail was sent and received; and possibly a user’s browser history. It does not include, the lawyers hasten to point out, the “content” of e-mail or other Internet communication.

    This is actually scary, I just read the book 1984 by Orwell provided by the vigilant and it sounds as if we are well on our way to be under complete control of “Big Brother”.

      Haha, I was supposed to read that book last summer as a Summer Project (hate schools do that to only the AP classes, takes the fun out of summer), but I do know the basics of it, and may I say, George Orwell has beautiful writting. I still haven’t read it and I’m going to be a 10th grader (yay!) once school starts, and I can’t see why most – more like pretty much everybody – said that 1984 was LAME! When my friend told meh that, I was all like, “Dude~! This sounds freakin’ uh-mazing!!!” LOL anyways, chea, hopefully I’ll get to read it :)

      Yep, totally Police State…
      But are they also checking into our OWN personal stuff? Still a bit hazy on that… But if they are, then they found out I’m a total Yaoi lover haha xD (hence my name ;D)

    I wish more Americans would wake up to the fact that Obama is a complete fraud.

    Denise, Vigilant;

    You should also read Animal Farm, by Orwell. It is an a parallel to Russian history (fall of the tzar, bolshevik revolution, stalin’s assumption of control) which was a repeat of the slightly earlier French Revolution, both events were orchestrated by the Pope and his Illuminati. May God (the One True God, Creator) bless and keep you.

    Actually, this sort of depends on whether they are talking about the unwarranted search and seizure coming from your private ISP for personal internet stuff, or if it is your place of employment.

    If it is the latter, then there is “no expectation of privacy” anyway, because you are using the company’s system, and that has been this way for many years, legally. A good general rule to live by is “Don’t F around on your work computer.” lol

    I think the real danger here is regarding the first example, wherein the govt coerces or compels private internet service providers to cough up records without a subpoena (court order), having been reviewed by a judge for having legit probable cause for the search.

    Of course, the Obama admin, like many others before it, is notoriously corrupt and can surely find a judge who is a “team player” and will sign off on whatever his bosses ask for…so that’s not a big hurdle for them anyway.

    The govt of the USA has become every bit as corrupt as any third world dictatorship, and never moreso than right now with the current admin of socialist/elitist radicals. This is just how they roll.

    It shouldn’t really be a big surprise to anyone, judging by how the Sickago political machine has operated for decades now.

    Does that mean that we should make connect with other people now or later. I am not sure what completely think or feel about all of this. I know everyday should entertain less the principles and practices of everyday media. Maybe the real answer is to stop watching TV and stop using all of the devices that give them power. If the same tools that they expose us to is making us lose our freedom them maybe we should stop using those devices, plus I have a feeling that when this all comes about that they will take them away from us evetually to further keep us in fear and to further gain control. Maybe we want too much and greed eventually seems to entrap us I don’t think that all desires were meant to be addressed surely not all at once. Emotions are a way to help us understand the motives and intentions of others as well as our very own no to be used out of contents which the media driven devices have done every well and now look at us. Care with no too many options and most people just go along with the flow of the world instead of understanding what it truely mean to be a individual. Now the only information that we are now receiving is only what they want us to know that is not being a full and complete human being and we feel less and less human everyday.

    If it wasn’t Obama, it would be some other puppet used by the Papacy of Rome. Let’s just get that cleared-up. Presidents are SELected NOT ELected. The Presidency is a FRAUD. Fraudulence did not begin with Obama or the Obama Administration. I am not a supporter of Obama in the least, but this entire thing makes me *sigh* and *roll my eyes*. If McCain were the Sitting President, we’d be in an entirely different dilemma – a big one, nonetheless. The war in the Middle East isn’t over natural resources or peace treaties – it’s a religious war. Do you know there was a book written called, Making America Catholic – you’ll have a hard time finding it. We have a copy in loose-leaf. All of this is about Rome regaining power = New World Order = National Sunday Law = International Sunday Observance.

    Two books you’ll want in your library: 1) National Sunday Law and 2) The Great Controversy
